The Axis 6 inch fine tuning file is not your average file from your tool box. Steel edges on skis and snowboards are made of a harder metal than files you get in a hardware store! You can't tune your edges with a file that is made with softer metal than your edges.
It will wear down the file immediately. That's why we offer files that are specifically designed for ski and snowboard tuning.
This traditional fine grade 6 inch non chrome file is the perfect tuning file for doing finish work and achieving that fine edge. An 8 inch file is best for taking down a lot of edge. The 6 inch file is a great file for a quick touch up.
